Visa Application Status Report

Facts about Detailed Application Status Report:

1. 'Detailed Application Status Report' is available only when AOR (Acknowledgment of Receipt) has been issued.
 
2. Minimum Information that can be gathered from Detailed Application Status Report:
a. Your application's formal assessment date
 
b. Whether or not you have been granted an interview waiver
 
c. Whether or not you are required to be interviewed and the reason behind it
 
d. The result of preliminary points assessment of your application. In case this result is not as what you expected, you would have an opportunity to submit additional documents to support your application before an immigration officer formally assess your application
 
e. Showing if the security checks (could become potential delays) have been passed
 
3. The 'Detailed Application Status Report' is a printout that you will receive from Canadian Capital, Ottawa, upon requests. In this report, you will have the following information:
 
a. Immigration officer's notes
 
b. Program Assistant's notes
 
c. Points calculations
 
d. Processing stages that have been passed
 
e. Etc.
 
4. 'Detailed Application Status Report' can be requested by just giving your full name, visa office, and the date of birth. No file number is necessary to request this report. However, it is recommended that you request the report after you have received your file number.
 
5. 'Detailed Application Status Report' is processed by Canadian Immigration Office in Ottawa, Canada. Therefore, it does not make a difference in which visa offices that you request your report from.
 
6. The normal time for you to receive your 'Detailed Application Status Report' is 3 - 4 weeks. It is very rarely that the Canadian Immigration Office takes longer to process your request. If this is the case, we would notify you. Please note that Canadian Immigration Office is required to process these requests within 30 days.
 
7. By requesting the 'Detailed Application Status Report', you do not affect the processing time of your immigration application. One of the advantages for having the report is for you to check the discrepancies that may occur.
 
8. If you happen to have hired a different immigration consultant to handle your immigration application, you still can use our services. This is because the request for 'Detailed Application Status Report' is handled by a separate office and processed independently of your immigration application.
