Canada Immigration

Each year Canada accepts up to 250,000 new immigrants. This is due to its low population growth rate and abundance of available resources. After you have lived as a permanent resident in Canada for three years, you are eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship.

The Justice System
As a permanent resident in Canada, your access to the justice system is equal. This is guaranteed by the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Health Care
Every permanent resident is covered by provincial insurance plan in which he or she resides. This includes doctor's fees, hospital charges, and in some cases, prescription drugs.

Quality of Education
It is free to enroll in Canadian primary and secondary school. Post-secondary studies are subsidized by Canadian Government. It is mandatory for every child in the age of 16 - 17 years of age to attend school. Every child is enrolled to schools according to where they live.

Social Service
Canadian Government takes care of its citizen's basic services. This is funded by taxes collected by the various levels of government.

Some of the social services include:
1. Child Tax Benefit:
Monthly payment made by Canadian government for the well being of Canada's children. The amount is calculated according to family's income.

2. Welfare / Social Assistance:
This meant to cover people who are not entitled to other benefits to pay for basic needs.

- Canada's unemployment rate has been declined since 1976. Thousands of jobs are created every year in various fields
